Flower power

Without tempting fate, last week's boiling temps suggest that summer is well and truly here so it's time to do as your nan does and pack up those winter clothes and bury them under your bed until September time.

For a quick and easy way to bring your look in season, invest in some florals. Nothing screams summer fun more than ditsy prints and you'll instantly look on trend and ready for the sun.

Team with last season's jeans and cardi to give a chiconomic summer twist to old outfits.

Pay-day blowout!

These are my latest label crush. Kurt Geiger's new fashionistas are all very loveable but this pair are nothing short of beautiful. Buy Elle magazine this month and you get a £15 off voucher for Kurt Geiger, no strings attached - although it can't be used on sale products.

While, £15 isn't going to make much of a dent in the £240 price tag of these beauties, it could be just the excuse I need to splash out!

Arm-candy o'clock

I don't know about you, but I'm skint. Card-getting-declined, living-off-my-credit-card skint. So, proper shopping's off the cards for a while.

That said, it doesn't mean that a little accessory or two isn't still doable - especially when they're as pretty as this little lot!

Today I heart...

...This gorgeous lace-trimmed sweatshirt from Urban Outfitters. Sporty, eighties femininity - think of the leggings you could wear with this beauty!

Why does payday not come more often?

So long, Winter

It's officially March and Spring trends are in the air!

I may have been banging on about harem pants, feathers and fringing for a while but now is the month to really go to town so here's a run-down of some March must-buys.

Blazers: Navy or grey with turned up sleeves. This will become your sunny-weather staple and it's worth spending a few quid to get it right.

Watch on a chain: Scaled-down Flava Flav style. Layer with three or four other chains over a vest and under your new blazer to be the coolest kid in town.

Statement heels: Sculpted heels, big prints. Just make sure your feet are the centre of attention

Bright dresses: Big bold colours. Fuschia and tangerine are bang on.

Eighties prints: Be it tops, dresses or leggings, detailed angular prints are a spring win.

Jumpsuits? Really?

I'm torn. My head says no way José, but my heart says do it! I'm talking of course about fashion's latest penchant for the all-in-one. Could I really wear one to work on a cold and dreary Monday morning? Would my friends not laugh in my face if I turned up to my local for a quick V&C in an one-piece?

The rules, or so I hear, are keep it loose, choose harem pants if you're feeling particularly brave and avoid at all costs anything camel-toe inducing. Ruching's good too.

LinkHere are some that are fast luring me back to the eighties.

Just peachy

By now, you probably know that colour blocking is key to looking totally on trend this season. So cheer yourself up in this wintry weather by rocking a bit of bright in the form of some peach or coral tones.

You can even go as bright as tangerine shades, which look fab teemed with fuschia for the full colour-contrasting effect.

As always, here are some suggestions of how you can carry off corals and still have some money left for a summery cocktail to match.

I heart fringing

Move over Pochahontas, because we're stealing your style for S/S 09.

Diane Von Furstenberg, Jil Sander and Louis Vuitton all showcased a range of to-die-for fringed accessories on the new year catwalks and now the high-street has caught on.

So get tassling and try out any of these for size. Just make sure if you like it, you go and put a fringe on it.

2. Top Shop - Abu fringe ankle boot - £65
3. ASOS - Long metal fringe necklace - £9.79

New Look, anyone?

Now, this might be unfair but I've always thought of New Look as a place for fab shoes and little else.

The clothes have never grabbed me in the past but the credit crunch has forced me to widen my shopping avenues and I've found myself reassessing stores that I'd previously written off.

I must admit, New Look have upped their game. Their new lines seem to be bang on trend and they still remain one of the cheapest on the high-street.

Print dresses and colour-block tops seem to be the best of the bunch with the same range of must-have heels.

Here are some faves:

1. Floral pleat skirt - £20 4. Block colour dress - £28
2. Block colour top - £18 5. Studded platform - £28
3. Bird print dress - £22 6. Plain pleated skirt - £20

Calling all size sevens!

Today I thought I'd found my sale bargain of the year. All Saints currently have 70% off a massive range of designs - a lot of which could easily still be rocked throughout '09.

When I came across these gorgeous leather platforms, with a perfectly placed zip at the back and no less than 84 quid off I was whipping out my credit card faster than Britney with a leccy razor.

But alas, 'twas not to be. Only size 41s left.

Once I'd dried my eyes, I thought I'd share this knowledge with some size seven friends. Please someone buy them, it really is a crime not to.

All Saints - Angelo Shoe - WAS £120 NOW £36!

Feathered friends

Prints have been on the radar for quite a while now, but none have excited me quite as much as the feathers that were seen all over the Paris Fashion Week catwalks.

Not only does it give an alternative to Laura Ashley-esque florals, you can do a much or as little as you like with a bold top or a few fluttery lashes. These hotties should tick the box and all for under £30!

2. Topshop - Feather print tulip tunic - £25

3. ASOS - Eylure feather lashes - £9.75Link

Harem today, gone tomorrow?

So, drop-crotch pants are back and we're talking proper MC Hammer stylee.

At first I wasn't really feeling the whole Harem thang but now I must admit, I'm being swayed. Sure, they look a little bit like you got up without your morning latte and forgot to take your PJs off - but teem them with a pair of killer heels and a statement shirt and you just might have something.

The more expensive the fabric, the easier they are to pull off but we're all about doing things the high-street way. So check these three pairs of baggy pants and see if they take your fancy. Come payday, the Warehouse ones are mine!

2. Topshop - Tapered Hareem Trouser - £35

A Goldie-Looking Chain

Oh to have a Chanel bag. To feel the chain aginst my bare flesh, to stroke the £1000 quilting...Sorry, back in the room.

What with this credit-crunch lark I can't see myself having the cash to splash on some designer arm candy any time soon but at least I have these high-street lovelies to keep me going. And for now, they make a pretty good substitute...

Who saw Estelle doing American Boy at the EMAs? Remember that mile-wide blue dress she was wearing? Well tone it down a little, and you've got this season's hottest look. Spring 09's gonna be hip-tastic so for girls with a little junk in their trunk, it's good news!

The high-street have some statement-making equivs so ditch the diet and hide it all under some of these sexy steals!
